Join the national award-winning UWE Bristol Big Band for an evening of classic big band music.
Fresh from the band’s appearance at the 2023 finals of the National Concert Band Festival, this will be their first public performance back in their home city of Bristol.
In the last 12 months the band have entertained audiences with concerts at the Bristol Beacon, local residential homes, Student’s Union and the Royal Northern College of Music. They have been fortunate to work alongside and perform with Louis Dowdeswell, the London Gay Big Band and the fantastic Ronnie Scott’s All Stars.
The programme will be heavily focused on music from Count Basie’s epic album ‘The Atomic Basie’ with other well-known charts in the mix.
Band starts at 7.30pm.
Please note this is a Park and Stride event. Parking will be at Winterbourne Academy, BS36 1JL. The Barn is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Academy’ car park. The most lit up route will be via Beacon Lane. Please take care along the country roads to The Barn and be sure to bring a torch!
Please do not park along church lane as this obstructs the road for other users and emergency vehicles.
Parking at The Barn will be reserved for accessibility parking requirements and must be pre-booked. If you need to book an accessible space then please email firstname.lastname@example.org
