“There’s trouble brewing at the market; the city’s overcrowded with tourists, the occupying soldiers are agitated, and to complicate matters that preacher from Galilee has come to town. He claims not only to be the Messiah come to fix the problem, but God himself, and the authorities don’t like it one bit. In the market place the business owners argue with their friends, families, patrons and vagrants, as events around them unfurl and they try to answer the question “Is Jesus really the Son of God?”
Using the award-recognised script by her daughter Emily, local priest and thespian Jean Capstick directs ToFF productions in an imaginative retelling of the Easter Story through the eyes of
the people of Jerusalem in the early 1st century.
