We are delighted to welcome The Festival Players back to Winterbourne Medieval Barn as they perform Shakespeare’s most popular History Play, HENRY V. The Festival Players Theatre Company is a professional theatre company in their 35th year of touring, delivering the best in open-air Shakespeare, committed to presenting the very best in touring theatre.
After a rebellious and spirited youth hood, carousing in the taverns of London, Prince Hal takes on the responsibility of Kingship and leads his troops, of low and high station, across the Channel to do battle with the French at Agincourt. Follow the charismatic King Henry the Fifth in this stirring tale of leadership, bravery, humour, and love; two hours of exhilarating entertainment for a Summer’s evening.
The Barn grounds will be open from 5.30pm for picnics. The bar will be available from 5.30pm. The performance starts at 7pm.
Please note car parking for this event is at Winterbourne Academy off the High Street, BS36 1JL. From there it is a 10 – 15 minute walk down Church Lane to the Barn.
