Winterbourne Medieval Barn Trust was granted charitable status in 2005 following the historical development of the Winterbourne Barn Trust-in-Waiting and Winterbourne Medieval Barn Development Group. Work to identify the barn as being of historic importance began in the 1980s and neglect of the site led to the barn being placed on the “Buildings at Risk” register of English Heritage. Thankfully, its purchase by South Gloucestershire Council and the subsequent renovations and repairs have seen the site brought back from the verge of complete dereliction to a multi-use community hub.

WMBT Trustees and supporters are committed to ensuring that the site is protected, celebrated and used as a unique historical asset. The Trust is always keen to receive offers of support so get in touch if you’re able to help the Trust deliver their aims.
