Winterbourne Medieval Barn Trust does not receive any core funding from government or local authorities and is run entirely on independent income from individuals, trusts and foundations and local companies. We occasionally receive a grant from South Gloucestershire Council but we cannot guarantee this support, but readily accept it when it arrives.

We are immensely grateful to all our supporters who give us gifts – however large or small, and for the difference that these gifts make. We simply couldn’t raise all the money we need without your generous gifts.

We are proud to be independent; however we still rely on the generosity of others to help us achieve our goal – of saving this fantastic building and bringing its many stories to life.

By visiting the Barn, attending one of our events or by using its facilities, you are helping us to preserve this Grade II* listed building, helping us to provide innovative education programmes to children and young people, and by encouraging more people to treasure the wonderful building.

Ways you can help:

Winterbourne Medieval Barn is many things to many people: a beautiful and peaceful place to discover the medieval history and heritage of Winterbourne and its surrounding landscape; an inspirational setting for children and adults to learn and be creative through heritage and rural craft-themed activities and courses; and an important historic environment where natural habitats have been shaped by the activities and practices of past generations. Add to this our varied programme of family-friendly community events, music, theatre and guided tours and there is something for everyone.

Donate today to help us keep Winterbourne alive for generations to come.

Trusts and foundations
Grants for trusts and foundations can play a crucial role in enabling Winterbourne to undertake new and exciting projects. These could include developing new activities both on the site and also outreach programmes for children and young people; helping new groups visit the Barn and get involved in our activities; and helping us purchase equipment to help improve our events and activities.
